community guidelines.
version 0.3 (alpha) · part of the terms of service
binovy is a place for the record — what you have, what it's been through, what it sold for. these guidelines keep the record honest.
the record is the point
- be straight about what you own. your photos, of your things.
- the binovy standard is twenty photos or more · the four-photo minimum is a minimum, not a target.
- condition, provenance, history: say what you know, not what sells.
- no counterfeits, replicas, or reproductions passed off as originals.
- no stolen goods.
comments stay civil
- collectors disagree about value, grading, and taste. keep it about the thing, not the person.
- no harassment, no hate, no pile-ons.
- no adult or explicit content. this is a catalog, not that.
no manipulation
- no shill bids, vote rings, or engagement games.
- no spam, no scraping, no bots.
- one collector, one account. be who you say you are.
when something's wrong
use the report control on any listing, comment, or rating — or write abuse@binovy.com. a moderator reviews every report. moderation leaves a trace on purpose: a removed comment shows as removed, an actioned report gets an outcome. suspensions and removals are at our discretion, and the terms govern.
during the alpha, transactions run on test systems — the terms' current status section is the word on when money is real. bid like it matters; the record already does.
